About the Conference
In celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Taiwan Resource Centers for Chinese Studies (TRCCS) program which is initiated by the National Central Library (NCL) and has been developed under the joint efforts with TRCCS partners worldwide, the NCL holds this Symposium “Taiwan Studies and Sinology Studies in the World: International Symposium Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Taiwan Resource Center for Chinese Studies (TRCCS).” We wish that we can meet our TRCCS partners and scholars onsite and online, and make this symposium sharable to the scholarly communities.

The TRCCS program was initiated in 2012, with the aim to promote Taiwan and Sinology researches through sharing the humanities and social sciences good-quality publications and e-resources of Taiwan with the TRCCS partners, which the NCL has been endeavoring to develop on the basis of signing a formal cooperation agreement. The sharing and collaboration under the TRCCS programs includes not only printed publications and e-resources but also lectures and international conferences held jointly with TRCCS partners, as well as making such lectures open to the research communities.

It is a pride for the NCL and for all TRCCS partners that we together could retain long-term practical cooperation and collaboration relationships, sharing common values, and the commitments to establish a better environment for Taiwan and Sinology education and researches. We wish that the celebrations for this ten-year milestone can bring all TRCCS partners together. It is time to celebrate, and time for us to make commitment for another golden milestone!
